There's a silent killer in South & Southwest Philly. The illnesses so common in our neighborhoods can be traced back to pollution from the largest oil refinery on the east coast. We're rising up for our health, future generations, & a green economy that works for ALL.

Event Details: We'll meet at Stinger Square Park (3200 Reed St) where we will take a school bus to rally at the PES oil refinery at 28th & Passyunk. All ages are welcome to participate. Fold-up chairs will be provided for those who cannot stand for long periods. The bus will return everyone to Stinger Square after the rally for refreshments. Contact us to volunteer for the rally, add your organization as a co-sponsor, or be a captain of a group at the rally (i.e. mothers, faith leaders, etc).

It's been three years since we've mobilized at the oil refinery gates. Hundreds of conversations & three campaign victories later it is time to return to the site of injustice. The Philadelphia Energy Solutions refinery continues to struggle financially, and instead of another bail out we the PEOPLE have the POWER to usher in a transition.

We call on all youth, people of faith, community members, seniors, the unemployed & underemployed, mothers, fathers, grandparents, asthmatics, artists, those who have triumphed over cancer, those who have grieved over cancer, visionaries, thinkers & doers, and all those who believe we have a Right To Breathe... Let's stand together.
